Old style and new style, on the riverbank.

Ayutthaya old town is basically an island comprised of many Wats, stuppas and lakes.  Some of the Wats date back 700 years and more, and it shows, more so in some but not in others.   So, we spent 4 hourswandering the island in searing heat, returning to our accommodation and collapsing in a painful stuppor.
After lunch we had a round the island boat trip arranged.   Two and a half hours on the watrer, stopping thrice at Wats.  Jings, there are more wats here than on the national grid.
I could go on and on about them, but just have a look at the extras.
Off to Hua Hin, via Bangkok tomorrow.   Should be a relaxing couple of train journeys.   Wait and see.
