The new city skyline

The tallest building under construction will be higher than the Shard. Viewing the lit up city with giant cranes in all directions from the 32nd floor of the Shard this evening (my photos do not do it justice) makes it abundantly clear that there is a giant gap between London and its financial centre and the rest of the country.
