Old words

I love words, they do much more than convey a message. They reveal part of who we are. How we think, feel, express emotions. They are, at best, a medium.
These two prints hang on a wall in our local cafe. They are in Ulster vernacular. . A medium quickly passing. A poke is an ice cream, a cone.
'Waddabout ye' means how are you? The product is veda, a particular type of bread associated with Ulster.
They come from an old place, cause me to smile, recall my youth.
