Munich
We left a Britain battered by winds, and flew from a sunny isle to the winds now over Germany. The plane rocked and rollercoastered through the thick cloud but the pilot made an expert landing we hardly felt.
Such a joy to meet up with Charlie and Rory. We had dinner at a restaurant Charlie had worked at, and everyone wished her well with her aged parents...
There is a feel of resilience in Munich and the place is full of happy people of all nationalities, there is no litter and no sign of homelessness. So different to schismed Britain.
I may have sampled a few of the local brews. Apparently seven plus percent is standard. Ok, that’s fine, I’ll have another two. Lovely to see the kids, and so happy in their busy lives.
