Mono Monday - CONVERSE

Usual Monday for me.  Fitness this afternoon at 2pm.  Suffering from a lack of energy today but I did my best and enjoyed it.  Shopping in Tesco then home to sort out the washing and have a shower.  Relaxed in front of the TV for a while and then it was time for Slimming Group.

Taster Night was a great success.  Lots of syn free or low syn goodies on offer.  All my pakoras and meringues were eaten and enjoyed.   My weight stayed the same this week - I was a bit disappointed as I had " been good " all week and expected a loss. 

The weather has been cold,wet and windy but Storm Freya didn't trouble us.

On 4th March 1900 my Grandma was born.  Her name was Jessie Brown - later to be Jessie Bracey when she married my Grandad.  She was a tiny woman - but fiesty.  For most of my childhood we lived next door to her.  She passed away in 1979.  I have been remembering her today on her birthday.  Lots of happy memories for sure.  I have added a photo to my Extras.

The Mono Monday word today is " Converse" - a word with a double meaning. Either to engage in conversation OR a situation, object, or statement that is the reverse of another or corresponds to it but with certain terms transposed.  Converse is also a brand name of an American shoe company that primarily produces skating shoes and lifestyle brand footwear and apparel.

No Converse footwear here so that option was a no go.  Decided to blip Lily when I was having a conversation with her this afternoon. I have always talked to my cats but with Tino and Lily I talk to them a lot more as they are very vocal cats and are always demanding attention. They get very annoyed if you try to ignore them.  So my blip shot shows Lily listening to me .  Thanks to ApolloFly for hosting Mono Monday - and coming up with some interesting themes for March.
