GETTING KICKS ON ROUTE 66

Hello all,

Hope you are all well.  Decided to take G up to Keswick today but nipped up via the M6.  Was amazed to see quite a bit of snow on the tops.  On the A66 we pulled into a layby near the turn off for Hutton and Penruddock and took a couple of photos.  This is one of them.

We then just popped into Keswick and had a wander round the shops.  Went into the Honeypot Cafe for coffee.  I'd recently read about Armathwaite Hall Hotel by Bassenthwaite Lake and it looked lovely so we thought we'd have a look at it and maybe had a light lunch there.  We just went into their Brasserie.  Food was really lovely and reasonably priced.  We then went for a walk around the extensive lovely grounds.

Took a few photos but my mind wasn't on photography really so one or two reasaonble ones but not as good as they should be.  Will just have to go back again.

Then just came back home.  Not going to Camera Society so having a night in and watching a bit of catch up TV.
