The family picnic plaid......

.....that I brought home from WorMa's this afternoon, made of wool and about 10ft long by 4ft wide (EDIT :: sorry, I seem to have slipped into 'old money' measuring systems for some reason ;-) ) and from the uneven selvedges along it's length I'd guess hand woven. It's definitely WAY older than me because I can remember it from being a tiny tot and I'm pretty sure it was a previously loved and much used family item even then! 
Oh, the egg and tomato sandwiches that must have been scoffed whilst sitting on it ;-)
