a view over the gate

We had our first proper look at the Pacific Ocean today. When we arrived on Friday it was getting dark, and then yesterday it poured rain all day. This morning dawned sunny and warm, so we took a walk along the high street that looks down on the houses by the shore! I've always loved this iron gate in the shape of a nautilus shell that allows a look through to the dolphin statue and wild blue waves beyond.
