Inaugural Craigswood junior parkrun

For some months now, plans have been under way to start up a 2k Junior parkrun in Livingston. I already run at the local 5k event on a regular basis and when I found out last year they were looking for people to form a core team for a junior version, I volunteered to be a part of it.

We’ve had 4 test runs but today was the first official Craigswood Junior parkrun. We were all very excited. We had no idea how many people would turn up, but were gobsmacked to find out 165 children had taken part! Ethan came 27th.

I suspect the numbers were that high due to it being the first week, and fully expect it to dip next week. Fingers crossed it remains popular though!
