Free Hugs

My mum found this in August, on a bench in St. Andrews, a few days after my grandpa died. She had gone there to think about him (he was born and raised there). It's a lovely sentiment and meant a great deal to her when she found it.

Wouldn't it be nice if a few of us made these and left them in a random place? How many hearts could we touch in such a simple but meaningful way?!

Sometimes we can't hug the ones we love. Sometimes there's no one around to hug us when we need it. Sometimes we just need to remember we are loved. Sometimes we just need to remind others that someone out there is thinking of them. Not everyone likes physical touch, but most of us like the idea of a hug even if we can't physically give/receive them.

Thank you to whoever left this 'hug' for my mum to find when she needed it. Small gestures with immeasurable impact!
