Poinsettia

We originally won this Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) at a raffle about a month before Christmas 2016.

We kept it through 2017, and by managing its exposure to light, we tried - unsuccessfully - to get it to produce red flowers in time for Christmas of that year.

Left after that to its own devices, it went on to produce nice red blooms in perfect time for Easter 2018, and so this winter just past, we made no attempt at any lighting tricks and now this is the result!
