Metropolitan Opera

A friend invited a few of us to celebrate his 50th birthday today.

In an attempt to make us more cultured, he took us to a cinema to see a performance of La Fille Du Regiment which was live streamed from a matinee at The Metropolitan Opera in New York.
Thankfully, it wasn’t a heavy sombre opera but a lighthearted one with quite a bit of comedy.

The birthday bash began earlier in the day with afternoon tea which was very nice :)
