Warmth
We are enduring the long deep freeze that has continued this year, now into March. My family is resilient and resourceful when it comes to fighting through the elements. Tonight we are finding ways to avoid the cabin fever that this prolonged cold can cause and instead, my girls made a beautiful dinner, engaged in meaningful conversations together (always enjoyable when you throw 2 teenage girls into the mix) and we sat as a family and played games in front of the warmth of a fire.
Nights like these, I realize that some of our best memories are laying right in front of us, ready to be experienced. We don’t need a plane ticket, a hotel or a new city - just love for each other, the willingness to listen, share and be present and maybe the warm glow of a good fire. I hope this weekend - you take advantage of opportunities right in front of you - to make a memory.
