The old roller - Myddelton House

Myddelton House is about 6 miles from us and as the day was looking better than promised l went to see what was happening in the gardens. The answer was "not a lot", another two weeks and all the wild daffs will be out in swathes and so will most probably go back then.
The building itself is not that old - mid 1800s but is rather gracious and has 8 acres of rather wonderful, informal gardens including a "lunatic asylum" for sad, unhealthy plants!
