I wish...

A quick snap from Four Oaks Park, a private housing estate of millionaire mansions in Sutton Coldfield... I have often reflected that although I was from the council estate, I had several friends who lived here and other similar locations, and never really thought about the disparity in wealth... I feel as though that's partly a "Sutton thing" - with the wealthy (of which there are plenty) being more down-to-earth and less snooty than many...
As a teenager I would walk round this estate with girlfriends, deciding which house we'd live in when we got married... Today, I simply hoped the "NCA" I had from here (usually Grannies and council estate people pleased to get a free set of mugs) would answer the phone and agree to a wine tasting!! As it was, no sales from the 5 NCAs I visited around Birmingham, before two enjoyable WTEs - the last one in Moseley, which seems very "cultural" these days, with farmers' market, cool-looking bistros, lots of independent shops, etc.
