Knife angel

As we hear of yet another life lost to knife crime it is quite poignant that sis and I decided to nip into Hull this evening to see the ‘Knife Angel’. A sculpture created from a knife amnesty. It has been touring the country and has been in Hull for a few weeks. I saw in the local news that it was leaving on Monday so we headed in to see it before it left.
It was interesting listening to some parents explaining the sculpture to their children and the importance of not carrying knives. It was also quite poignant reading some of the tags round the sculpture, the thoughts of those who have seen it and of course shared experiences.
