Double Delight
Yeovil's no.16, Tristan Abrahams, wheels away in delight after scoring the equalising goal against Morecambe this afternoon. 4 minutes later he added a second to give us the lead but, Yeovil being Yeovil, we couldn't do things easily and conceded a soft equaliser with 5 minutes left.
However, there was more late drama when substitute Ryan Seager, a local lad, hit a fantastic shot from 25 yards which hit the underside of the crossbar and bounced down. Hardly anyone thought it had crossed the line except the linesman who awarded the goal. The Morecambe players were incandescent and the ten minutes of stoppage time that followed, caused by injuries, substitutions and Morecambe's lengthy remonstrations about the third goal, were more than somewhat feisty and nerve-wracking. However, we managed to hang on to record two much-needed home wins in successive weeks.
Back in the real world, Tess spent the day helping Kate & Sophie doing more unpacking and buying bits and pieces for the new home.
By the time I'd got downto pick Tess up we decided it was too late to cook so we headed to the local Weatherspoon's for a quick bite and a pint. We reckoned we'd earnt it.
