Kidney Day - 2 years on

Two years ago, we all had our fingers and toes crossed (and indeed anything else that we could think of to cross) as Janet was having a kidney transplant.  On this, the second anniversary of what we are now calling "Kidney Day", she's looking in great shape I am delighted to say and still seems to be doing really well.

We've been to Janet and Incredibish's place for a lovely lunch and afternoon tea and generally lazed around and have a great time.  Good company and good food - what could be better?  Needless to say we had to have a portrait of the star of the show, and here she is, posing against the magic mirror which Incredibish had festooned with fairy lights.  

Janet commented earlier in the day that most of my portraits are mono shots, so as a special treat for her, this one is in colour. :-)
