Desert Sunset
Before too long, the sky will be cloud free. I'm going to enjoy the color they provide while I can. I knew all day this one would be nice. I put my chair in the driveway and sat in the evening stillness with my camera. As the sun set, I hobbled past a few houses so I could get this shot over the arroyo and out into the desert. I can't wait until I can walk back there again. (Pretty impressive in full screen.)
My first stop of the day was at my favorite cafe for lunch. As I was waiting for a table, I struck up a conversation with another woman. She had driven up from Nogales to run a few errands in Green Valley. I asked her to join me for lunch then picked up the tab without her knowing. My random act of kindness for the day.
I set up my first PT appointment which isn't until the 13th and picked up the new brace. It was terribly flimsy so I called the doctor. It wasn't the one she intended me to have because "it doesn't have any support." So it's another trip into Tucson on Monday afternoon to get what she meant for me to have.
I was grateful to have the peacefulness at the end of the day.
This pun's for the birds:
Q: How does a bird with a broken wing manage to land safely?
A: With its sparrowchute.
