Christmas shopping

. . . but first a lovely peaceful early walk with the dog.

There seemed to be an extra layer of frost and ice on everything today and even the canal was frozen in places. The dog with his new found ice confidence was very keen to chase the ducks across the icy canal, kept him on a very short lead. There was more excitement for him later on, when we spotted a fox in the field (another short lead moment), and then a pheasant took off right by us. Great start to the day.
