Sunset at Goukkamma

Pottered about the apartment and the town to-day but the afternoon turned into a beautiful evening so we grabbed a cooked chicken, some bubbly, etc and headed to the nearby Goukkamma nature reserve. This is a beautiful beach and natural dunes with miles of natural beauty. The light was wonderful and many photos were taken.
We saw this flock of birds from a distance (think they're terns but will have to research further) as we got closer they rose as one and surrounded us before settling again on another bit of beach. It was magical to see especially with the beautiful setting sun.
After watching the sun sink into the Indian Ocean, we enjoyed our picnic with the best table in the 'restaurant', as the light disappeared the stars made an appearance in their millions and it was a wondrous spectacle.
