An afternoon stroll took us past the walled garden just outside the village, and past some emergency Blips. The cottage by the garden built, presumably, to house the head gardener, has a row of substantial posts that serve no useful purpose other than to provide support for some odd ornamentation – such as this happy chappy. I have nightmares about a motley band of assorted gnomes and dwarves coming out at night to worship at the foot of this shrine
