and a few surprises like that last part of first half when orchestra and violinist Bisengaliev was joined by an Indian flautist. And Elgar ' s short piece at the end.
Applause at the end is ideal for that kind of photographic opportunity especially if you would like to take a "frame onto your memory" during the concert hall' s visit. At the end it should be the only frame to be honest. Fortunatelly I' ve got a pocket camera with manual settings so I should take very quickly a few shots during the applause. that' s it. Couple of seconds, zoom, press button. Done. I' m good during the classical concerts while orchestra is playing so I'm only listener as everyone in the hall, that' s for sure. No sound, no flash.
True. Know the fact I' m breaking a bit unwritten rule to not recording the orchestra during the performance. is it applause the part of performance was one of the questions before I did it for the first time. Taking a few photos while selected at the end the right one. Remembered once when i was asking LSO orchestra what do they think about taking a picture of them during the applause. The reply was simply from their side. Not having any issue if taking a picture only during the applause. And that' s what I' m doing since that answer. Not using those photos for commercial use. Just putting another "frame saved" into the memory ;-)
