Courting Wanderers

The first Wandering Albatross eggs of the year have been laid in the last few days, while some of last years chicks are on the verge of fledging. Elsewhere pairs are re-establishing bonds or looking for new partners.

Here I found a small group displaying to each other with wings outstretched and heads thrown back, making a curious gurgling sound as well as lots of bill-snapping.
