China through the lens of John Thomson 1868-1872

Emergency Blip (out of focus too - rushed to get it on before the talk started).

Was busy today with paperwork and then preparing a new recipe, a vegan Shepherd’s Pie for early dinner (see extra). Friends ate with us and then we all went to this talk on John Thompson.

Just sitting at the Russell Cotes waiting for a lecture and slideshow, with glass of wine.

The speakers are Deborah Ireland (history of photography writer for the Royal Geographical Society) and Dr Michael Pritchard (Royal Photography Society). He talking about the cameras & equipment John Thomson used to create his work, she about his life and travels.
