Meet Benedict the Bewick swan

We went to Castle Espie this morning for the bird watching walk - and Benedict the Bewick swan was practically the first bird we saw! Castle Espie have a Lego animal trail starting this weekend, Benedict obviously arrived early lol. There are to be 14 giant Lego animals situated across the site, we saw just 2 early arrivals, Benedict and a marvellous dragonfly. Apparently they are made in the Lego factory and shipped across - and there was me imagining lots of people sitting with millions of Lego pieces building them on site! There have been giant Lego animals in RHS Wisley garden this year too - in place of the usual 'Butterflies in the Glasshouse" event.
It's been a glorious day here today, the mist is drawing in now, but it was warm and sunny, and definitely not February weather!
