More Tires
I found myself at the tire store once again today because I though my vehicle needed a front end alignment. It has been difficult to drive since our trip to Puerto Vallarta in November, makes clunking sounds going up hills, and has a humming noise coming from the rear end. I have an appointment with a mechanic on Wednesday, but my friend suggested I get it aligned first as that hadn't been done since before getting new front tires in PV and he thought that might have something to do with he rough driving. The guy doing the alignment called me over immediately to show me that the tires on the front were a different size than those on the back. He explained in Spanish, with lots of hand gestures, that difference would cause unstable driving and I need to buy two new tires that are the same size. Turns out that the shop in Puerto Vallarta sold me the wrong size and I have been driving on mismatched tires ever since. He also discovered my left rear wheel was incredibly loose. With new tires and a tightened wheel, my vehicle is back to normal!
