Tiny Tuesday:  the inner workings of the trumpet

This is a close up shot of a daffodil / narcissus focusing on the 6 stamen which are hidden within the deep trumpet of the flower.  

The unseasonably warm February that we have been enjoying here in the UK means that there are banks of daffodils starting to flower already.  The weather is due to become more changeable shortly but there seems to be no imminent signs of the return of winter proper, so we should be able to enjoy the promised display - not like last year when the "Beast from the East" caused the cancellation of our holiday to Seville.
