Some Days

The Electric Boat

We played the Newtongrange Band annual Christmas concert at Port Seaton this evening, sadly for the last time as members of the band.

On the way home I asked Euphelette if she minded if I stopped off at Cockenzie power station for a quick long exposure blip.

Here it is.

More power.

When Euphling was very small we used to draw his attention to the world outside the car window by saying hello, for example hello cows, hello tractor, hello five mile tailback... you get the picture.

We also pointed out that the big building you can see from the A1, across the fields and on the banks of the Firth of Forth was where they made all the electric that made the lights and TV work.

On one trip into Edinburgh we heard a little voice from the back of the car say "Hello electric boat".

Ahhh! From the A1 it does look as though it could be tethered to a dock, needless to say we taunt him with it every time we go to Edinburgh.

Ah, the joys of family life!
