On the Red Carpet at The Academy Awards

We had an Oscar party at my daughter's house complete with stars and a red carpet. The party kept momentum with a string of mini-hosts: Emmy, who sang  Lady Gaga's a “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” — recalling one of 2018’s most memorable scenes. And, Grace who wore one of the most fashionable gowns of the evening, designed by Hanna Anderson.  The crowd was mostly well behaved but with a few photo bombers and a little crying.
Maybe the secret to an awards show isn’t joke writing or elaborate opening extravaganzas, but faith: trusting in the moments that come from serendipity and emotion.
