Croyde beach

Theo has wanted to go rock pooling for a while so today we came to Croyde beach to paddle and play in the rock pools. We found lots of limpets, sea snails (at least I think that's what they were) and seaweed, but nothing else. Both boys managed to paddle deeper than their wellies were designed for and I stupidly didn't realise quite how quickly and how far the waves came in and didn't manage to outrun the waves in time, meaning I also got soggy socks and trousers! Thankfully the weather has been beautiful (15°C) so we didn't feel cold. We had a picnic, ran up and down the sand dunes, and Theo brought his thunder trax toy so of course that had an outing too (see extra photos).
Back for another walk around the lakes (it's so pretty here), dinner and the hot tub!
