Boys will be Boys

Another lovely day, ridiculously lovely and mild too remembering that this time last year we were days away from the arrival of ’the beast from the east’ and heavy snow.
I took advantage of another of my Christmas Söderberg vouchers from daughter #2 to have a bowl of delicious granola, yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast.

It looked so nice to be outside, that I decided to trundle my shopping trolley full of HL’s DVDs and CDs to Morningside and the charity shop of choice. En route, I got a phone call from Glasgow Daughter saying that having been through in Edinburgh overnight for a party, they had just walked over to Cramond Island and were making their way back and could they come and see me. I was absolutely delighted because I had thought this was going to be a lonely Sunday to be spent on my own. Instead we had a picnic lunch around the dining room table with entertainment thanks to Nina and Ewan, the latter turning into quite a comic and mimic.

I was sorry to see them leave for home, but with the sun still shining I was happy to relax with the Sunday papers, knowing that my fears of a lonely Sunday had been groundless.
