Farewell to Switzerland

We were up early to drive to Zurich to get our flight home. It was an easy journey to the airport but unfortunately once we boarded the plane we sat on the runway for well over 2 hours, our flight being delayed due to the fog at Heathrow Airport. Sitting in a stuffy plane for that length of time was very annoying - I cannot believe that fog can affect planes flying to such an extent, the pilots are all instrument rated and what happens in other cities like Hong Kong where they have fog most of the time?

As a consequence we got home much later than expected - we went to M&S at the airport and bought some lunch and then went via the kennels to fetch Murdoch - who was looking fat and happy - he will be needing some long walks this week! 

Gavin came with me to get some groceries but by the end of the day many of the products I wanted were in short supply so the choice was not good. Gavin has just watched the England vs Wales rugby match and was not happy with the result :(

I am now off to cook supper, and I am sure we will be having an early night
