THE HORROR!

Dear Diary,

Something is attacking my squirrels.  I saw Rosamond in the seed bowl and I thought it odd I couldn't see both her ears and then she turned around!  One ear had been torn off!  I was horrified!  A little while later a grey squirrel with serious damage to his tail came by.  They both seem to be eating alright and having no problem jumping up on the seed table but the shock of seeing them made my knees weak.

I know I can't protect my little ones from the dangers they face every day but to see it so up close and personal is a bit shocking.  It was probably an ermine or maybe a fisher cat.  My poor little ones.  Extra seeds and peanuts this morning.
