A visit to the dentist

At the dentist today my suspicions were confirmed. Boo suffers with the same condition as her eldest sister whereby the enamel on their adult teeth is not fully formed. Luckily, there is no damage to any of Boos new teeth and the dentist just applied fissure sealant to the exposed areas to prevent any damage.

Ed doesn't have this problem and I guess we'll have to wait and see whether Yogi does when she gets round to growing some big teeth. So far it's led to discussions on what enamel is and how we can protect our teeth, why some of the girls developed this way but not all of them, what is fissure sealant, which foods are good for your teeth and which are not so good.

Overall a definite day of learning.
