Drinking fountain at Cressington Station

First, let me apologize for any lack of technical expertise in this picture. I shot it from the other side of the platform at Cressington Station, using my little compact camera.

Anyone who has caught a train to or from Cressington Station, in the last 138 years will have noticed this drinking fountain.

Sadly, it is not used anymore! I blame the increased consumption of bottled water!

I loved drinking from this fountain in the 1870s! Of course, I was much younger then!
