Paradise Bay

We spent the morning in bright sunshine exploring the north coast from Polis to Kato Pyrgos, skirting round the Turkish-occupied border with its barbed wire and UN observation posts. The main blip is the view from our outdoor table at Koulas cafe at Pomos Point.

In the afternoon we tried to cross the mountains to Stavros, but we turned back when a storm broke out and the mountain road was covered in hailstones and occasional rockfalls.
