I had a bit of a wander today before going to a meeting. It's been the first sunny day since we arrived, and of course with sun came a bitter cold, which was exacerbated by a northerly wind this morning. I was well frozen by the time I got to work (well my legs were, the rest of me was ok and my hands were positively warm). The others were saying "fresh". I think that's the point when you realise your colleagues are tough. But it was lovely to have a good walk. I added a few more photos to my Tampere album on flickr.

After the meeting, I accompanied a couple of colleagues over the bridge between the main building and our building. Very sci fi. As we walked, one of them played the theme tune to Dr Who on his mobile phone. Young people, eh!

I spent the rest of the day in the office working. Nothing else exciting happened....

Oh until I discovered that under the new post Brexit dispensation Parliament* will have no say over trade treaties. Chlorinated chicken, here we come. As a friend just said on twitter, it's looking like an authoritarian take over.

*I should add that the European Parliament very definitely has a say over trade treaties, and lots of EU trade treaties, depending upon their nature, have to be ratified at national level, which - not in the UK but in other sensible and democratic countries - requires parliamentary approval.
