The Broad Family

A sculpture by Xavier Corberó (1935-2017, Spain) in Basalt stone, 1991.  Sited in Appold Street in the City of London.
This is what his website says:
“Take a look at The Broad Family in Appold Street and the abstract forms slowly-but-surely evolve into a family portrait of two parents with a child; there’s even a dog with a ball.
Interested not only in the solid mass of the stones themselves but also the distance and space between them, artist Corberó has presented a piece which is impressively massive in scale and yet beautifully intimate in subject matter.”
