Vernacular

 I love this farm. It's right down by the sea and is pretty typical of those you will find around here. Small family farms surrounded by small stone walled fields.The buildings are thick walled and low lying and if you look closely you can see there's a barn built onto the right end with steps going up into it. There is a (small) herd of cattle who tend to stay out all year - the calves should be arriving very shortly. There are scruffy cats and an old sheepdog. I think once there were several brothers living here but there might be just one now. This bit of land has been lived on for centuries and is in a strategic spot - an old castle lies runed close by, once guarding the toings and froings in the estuary.  It's interesting how the old houses just fit perfectly into their landscape.
