Frozen catkins

Freezing morning. Rushing around,trying to learn words for a concert tonight, writing Christmas cards, renewing library books, eating to keep strength up and packing for France tomorrow to look after grandchildren!!
Main camera has broken - succunbed to the cold at Donna Nook? - but it was 10 years old so another (better) one winging its way to me as we speak! Will have to do with little camera in France -that is if I have time to blip with 4 grandchildren!
These catkins which will burst forth in Spring are on my contorted hazeltree.
