Forder Barn
Apart from a lovely early morning it's been a bit of a dull day today. A shame because the theme for today's Wideangle Wednesday (hosted by BobsBlips) is 'In the Country' and countryside always looks better with a bit of sunshine especially at this time of year with no foliage on the trees. I went out to Bovey Tracey and on towards Moretonhampstead. On a whim I turned down a narrow lane, just inside the national park boundary.
As I drove down the valley I came to a small hamlet called Forder and beside the road was a lovely decaying barn built of cob in the traditional way. Cob's a mixture of all sorts - mud, dung, straw and whatever's lying around. I just liked how it's placed beside the road with the lane going up.
