Doing the tourist thing in Stafford

Had a personalised guided tour of St Chad’s (from a very lovely enthusiastic lady) and spotted the Green Man carving, very interesting decoration in that church and well worth seeking out- looked Nordic to me but my friend suggested it had a Mayan feel to it. This blip is from the exterior of a different nearby church- lots of big, scary gargoyles on this one but this sculpture was a friendly one!

Just got St Oswald, St Cuthbert and St Aidan to find and then we’ll have a full house (All Saints)

Stafford is much bigger than I thought it was going to be. Had a lovely curry and managed to cope with the slightly repetitive tunes of the on street musical entertainment
