Shining

'It is no secret that the moon has no light of her own, but is, as it were, a mirror, receiving brightness from the influence of the sun' Vitruvius.

We talk about the moon shining, about walking by the light of the moon, or moonlight.
The reality is the moon is a giant reflector, having no light of its own.
Sometimes we can shine a light on an issue or problem by sharing the grace and generosity we have received from another.. Reflecting that gift rather than retaining it for our own use alone.
