Our wonderful friend Faith has a friend who has developed these amazing spectacles. Basically, you cover one lens with your hand, look at an eye-chart and turn the wheel beside your ear until the syringe bleeds in liquid, changes the prescription in the lens and you can read the chart. Then you do the same for the other eye.
They may make you look like a mad scientist but it works! Destined for the third world, her inventor friend has had backing for 60,000 pairs of specs. Admittedly the syringes don't make them the sexiest eye furniture in the world, but they DO have a certain David Hockney "cool" about them
