Watching

Today was the ladies’ slalom in the World Championships. This was our best chance to get a medal, which is why we watched and cheered from our respective spots on the sofa. This is mine. We ended up with a silver medal! Mikaela Shiffrin from the US won.

I miss the snow. If this was all the winter we’ll get this year, me and mum will be sad. Most people here are happy that the snow is gone, including Grandma, but we are winter girls. Other great things about winter: No snakes. No ticks. No cattle in the oak meadows. But we do like daylight, so that’s one good thing about spring.
