Carskey Bay, Big Waves

10.9C with a wet start clearing in just after noon to sunny sunshine and a few white fluffy clouds. S/SSW wind to 24 mph with gusts to 43 mph.

Grocery shopping.

We drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. No seals on the rocks at Kiel today as the tide was well in and the waves were roaring and crashing in on the shore and on the beaches. At Carksey we waited in the car for the last of the huge black clouds with the morning rain to clear then we had our walk in bright sunshine. The waves were huge and backlit and all lovely and green and breaking into the shelf just offshore with huge booms and forming tubes of clear and green and sometimes sandy and foamy water. Spectacular!

We walked along to the far end of the beach and back.
Fergus was on his lead again.

Later Apothecary 7 was applying Gesso over an old painting on canvas.
BBC Radio 2 was the musical backdrop.
