Fern effect...
The good weather continues, sun, warmth and double digit figures and heard it explained as the 'fern effect'. The warm south westerly winds arrive in the west, drop water, drying and cooling , as they rise over the Cairngorm plateau. They arrive on our side, collect heat from the sun and keep us warm and happy! Also called a microclimate.
I will just enjoy it!
Great walk up here to the Roman fort and viewpoint. Apart from a few Buzzards, not a lot moving.
