Rose and Petal

Meet Rose and Petal; we picked them up around this time last year from the guinea-pig sanctuary.
They were unwanted pets, apparently they 'ruined the garden', and the children of the family weren't interested in them after a few weeks, so (luckily) they were taken to the sanctuary. It could have been worse, they could have just been let loose to meet their fate.

They took a while to get used to us, and seemed to have doubled in weight the last year. Whilst we were working in the garden we put them out in the pen to munch on some grass. The first time this year!
