We took a bit of a round tour inland today. First stop was Okere Falls which is the beginning of the Okere river and is popular for kayaking and rafting. The main shows a kayaker coming over the Tutea falls. These are reputed to be the tallest commercially rafted falls in the world at seven metres ( grade 4 ). Later we headed to Rotorua for a breath of sulphurous air and saw this scattering of NZ Scaups on the lake (extra).
